Shree Devi Engineering College

The college was developed on a steep slope in Mangalore, Karnataka, providing us with a very interesting landscape to play with. We identified two major needs: communal spaces for the students, and a more welcoming experience for visitors. To address the communal space need, we developed a set of open-air cafeterias on multiple levels that would encourage students to have more open, creative interactions. The re-designed arrival area transformed a static space into a vibrant ambience that visitors would enjoy.
